The Florida trial of the woman accused of helping plan the murder of Jacksonville rapper Julio Foolio is now in progress in Hillsborough County Court.
Prosecutors say that she helped track the rapper’s movements while Charles Jones celebrated his birthday. They claim she coordinated with others who later cornered the rapper in a hotel parking lot.
Three gunmen allegedly opened fire, fatally shooting the rapper and injuring three others.
Andrews is charged with capital murder and planning a murder.
Investigators have presented digital evidence that they say tie Andrews to the scene. This includes deleted texts and videos recovered from her iCloud.
The defense argues that she didn’t know what the others intended to do. The defense says she Julio Foolio court hearing was in Tampa for personal reasons.
The case is being followed closely by court watchers because the killing is linked to gang tensions.
